After a poor team performance led to a tough 67-57 loss in their second game of the season, the V.I. came back with a full team effort in game number three... In that third contest, the newest Idiot, Jay C, controlled the ball and ignited the offense with some clutch first half shooting. Only failure to connect on some high percentage shots kept it close in the early goings. The second half was a different story as Pauly Beamer, making a triumphant return to the lineup, used his athleticism and court saavy to give the opponents fits on both ends of the court. The only foe that was a challenge for him this night was the foul line, where he could not keep his toes to himself and racked up a few violations. The game got out of hand as the ailing Street lit up a few from outside before resting his aching bones and, as usual,The Greek tossed in his fair share from long-distance to boot. With the Chairman and DKnip controlling the defensive end of the court, the V.I. tripled their opponent's second half output to nearly double-up on them for the game, leaving the scoreboard to read 65-35 before the referees inflicted the mercy rule. After posting their second victory to outweigh a single loss on the season, the Idiots enjoy a bye week next week to recover from the TWebs bachelor party that will most certainly test their most-valued skills.
