V.I. Continues to Impress from Behind the Arc |

Three weeks of downtime couldn't cool off the shooting hands on the Village Idiots as they poured it on for 52 first half points during their third win of the season. Since their last victory back on the Tenth of January, the V.I. had to wait out a scheduled bye-week and then sat out an additional week due to a facilities shortage. Finally, allowed back on the courts for only their fourth game in eight weeks, the Idiots came out red hot from downtown with regular long-range bombers Jay C and The Greek filling it up. DKnip also returned to his comfort zone and contributed a few triples of his own in the first half shootout. The Aceman contributed his first three-ball of the year as well. The helpless opponents could merely watch in frustration as the V.I. flew out to a 52-34 half-time lead. The second half saw a few rallies by the opposing squad, that were tempered with some key V.I. defensive stands, although a few missed free-throws did allow the lead to shrink to 3 within the final two minutes. In the end, V.I. rookie "T" controlled the ball and continually dominated his defenders to keep the game just out of reach, with the final tally reading another Idiot's victory at 75-68! The bye-weeks are over and there are also some make-up games coming your way. The action will be getting fast and furious, so be sure to keep up!
