Summer Tournament Recap |
The Village Idiots showed up for the Summer Tournament in Syosset with a refurbished squad eager to bring the V.I. name back to the forefront of the LIFFL. On day one, they were victorious in both games to move on to the elimination round. Unfortunately, on day two, a Saturday night pool party with some of the V.I. fan club may have still been on the minds of the team as they were knocked out in an early morning contest. TWebs took the outstanding player of the weekend honors, following up a three touchdown day on Saturday by making a great grab for the lone V.I. TD in their 17-6 loss on Sunday morning. On the defensive side of the ball, a strong effort was turned in by all, but "SJ" Dave stood out while collecting 4 sacks over the 3 games and applying pressure on the opposing QBs all weekend...
