Spring 2007 - Game 2 |
The Idiots move to 2-0 with 20-6 win over the Wildcats! (see full schedule and results by clicking here) The V.I. offense was running on all cylinders on Sunday as they marched up and down the field and controlled the ball for much of the game against the answerless Wildcats. The Idiots' defense was also strong again, despite having to play ironman football all day. The result, another victory for the Village Idiots! Brian Stanley was very sharp at QB again this game and spread the ball around to many targets. Randy Cardona grabbed both receiving TDs for the Idiots, as Dan Knipscher and Tom Weber made big plays to setup the scores. BStan ran in a third V.I. score as the game ended in a 20-6 advantage to the Idiots. On the defensive side, the pass coverage gave the Wildcats fits as they only crossed midfield once. Dave Sollin, in his first game as an Idiot, anchored a defensive backfield that batted a number of passes down and were quick to come up and stuff the run as well. It will be interesting to see how smothering this defense can get once they start getting some depth back as attendance improves. The Village Idiots are 2-0! The Idiots will be back in action April 15th, 1:30pm in Inwood... get directions here The V.I. are joined this season by members of Green Bay Home Improvement! Check the Roster! __________
