What is the outlook for the Jay Peak trip…..only 35 days away.
By Haas | December 10, 2009
Jay Peak is getting hit with a storm now as we speak and they have opened on time with guns blazing. What does this mean for the VI on Jan 15th? Well, although many believe the weather has been abnormally warm, we are on track to have an average Dec opening and a cold front from the midwest has just arrived this morning to kick off some snowmaking weather. This should pan out to give JP a good base for Jan and hopefully if the weather stays consistent a nice natural snow build up in the tree line on the west side of the mountain for some off piste skiing. I am looking forward to riding with Wally in the woods this winter….better tighten that helmet strap John.
