    Giants Dominate…. move to 3-0

    By Mystery Reporter | September 28, 2009

Bradshaw-Stiff-ArmThe Giants completely dominated the Tampa Bay Buccanneers yesterday in a 24-0 win. The defense pitched a shutout and didn’t give up a first down until late in the third quarter.

After last weeks performance against the Cowboys, the Giants wanted to run and stop the run. They were successful doing both. Led by Ahmad Bradshaws 104 yards, the offense churned out over 200 yards rushing. Brandon Jacobs added 92 yards and a TD. Defensively the Giants swallowed up the Bucs running attack. The Bucs leading rusher was backup QB Josh Johnson who had a 15 yard scramble in the 4th quarter.

Eli Manning threw TD passes to WR’s Steve Smith and Sinorice Moss and wasn’t sacked for the second game in a row. Mario Manningham got the start for injured Dominick Hixon and had 4 catches for 55 yards.

Terrelle Thomas had an INT playing for injured CB Aaron Ross. Also not playing were CB Kevin Dockery, LB Clint Sintim, DT Chris Canty, RB Danny Ware, WR Dominick Hixon and Hakeem Nicks. Despite all these injuries the Giants remain undefeated.

Next week, the Giants finish up their 3 game road trip in Kansas City.

The GMen are looking good. I am interested to see what they do against an elite defense. Do you think they can get the ground game up and running?

Thank you for your question Wally. I think they got the ground game going against the Bucs last week, as the gained over 220 yards. Look for them to try and establish the running attack against the Chiefs this week.

I meant against teams like Philly and Dallas.

GMen get their first L on the season this week. Here is why. Their LBS….. Solid against the run but can be beaten in space. GMen have a great Defense. Solid against the run. Solid against the pass. But their weakness is LB pass coverage and LB range.. Look for Brees to exploit that weakness hitting Bush and Shockey for big games….

On Offense Eli has had several serious problems against Darren Sharper who looks as good as ever. A solid blitzing defense should give him fits. Additionally the Saints have one of the better run defenses in the league…

Score: 27-21 Saints over the gmen….. You heard it hear first!!!
