Giants Week#2 Preview
By Mystery Reporter | September 17, 2009
After a 23-17 win against an offensively challenged Washington Redskins team, the Gmen hit the road to take on the Cowboys in their new stadium.
The Giants secondary will be see a tougher test in Tony Romo this week. Romo let loose for over 300 yards against Tampa Bay, and has a nice arsenal of weapons to choose from. All Pro TE Jason Witten and WR’s Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton will give the Giants secondary all they can handle. The Giants must use their explosive defensive front to put pressure on Romo.
The Giants defense has done a good job against the massive Cowboy offensive line and have shut down the run the last few meetings. Barber has been held in check and will probably find it tough to find holes this week as well.
Offensively the Giants need to pound it. Jacobs and Bradshaw need to get behind that good offensive line and rack up yardage. With Demarcus Ware coming off the edge you don’t want to be in many 3rd and long situations…. The running game will be key.
The Giants WR’s will face another tough secondary led by CB Terrence Newman. I was fairly impressed with their play in week one, and am curious to see how they do this week. Getting the young WR corps involved early will be key…..
Gmen on the road against another tough NFC East Rival. This should be a good one. GC says……
Giants -24 Cowboys -20
