Village Idiots Take Down Blackhawks in Round 1

The number 1 seed Village Idiots took to the court Monday night against the 8th seeded Blackhawks. The Idiots took care of the Blackhawks in the regular season with an impressive win in which the VI held the opposition to only 2 first half points. A strong first half by the Blackhawks had them thinking upset and payback as the VI only led by 4 at halftime. This idea would only be short-lived as the Idiots came out with a real purpose in the 2nd half. A great team effort and some big threes put the Blackhawks away and led to a convincing 48-30 victory. VI is back in action tonight against their old foe Holy Name at 8:45pm. A win would put the Idiots back in the finals for the 5th straight year and put them one step closer to a 3-peat.
