Allocco’s boys are playing well and I love DREW WILLY!.. He’s a real hotshot!! He’s got a RB, he’s got a WR. But thats about it. I watched ball state play a couple of times this season and MiQuale Lewis is a little MONSTER. 5′7 230lbs. is like a little pinball. Nate Davis is an NFL prospect.. Ball State by 2 Tds… Sorry Pete…

Who: No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 4 Florida

    When/where: 4 p.m. Saturday/Georgia Dome, Atlanta

HAAS???? Oh Haaaaassssss.. Beep BEEP BEEP…. Do you hear that. Lets just settle down here a bit… FLA has been an 18 wheeler PLOWING down the highway and decimating EVERYONE in site since the loss at Ole Miss… They have just been too damn fast for everyone they have played to this Point. Tebow is in my opinion the best player in College football and I feel SHOULD be a heisman trophy front runner and has a chance to cement himself as the Leading candidate… BUT… Here come the crimson tide… Now, the reason Ole Miss beat the Gators was because FLA could not get pressure on J Snead and Tebow was pressured all day.. 3 sacks and 3 fumbles were the difference that day.. And that could be the same HERE. Bama is excellent at taking the ball away and their strength is O and D line play which is where FLA can be beat… Like Chong Li is sweet in the gut.. This is where FLA is beatable and I think it will be the difference in the game. Not to mention NO ONE IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HAS THEIR TEAM BETTER PREPARED THEN NICK SABAN… It should be a good one.

      Two quick comments…

First off, Percy Harvin is listed as questionable for Florida with some sort of ankle sprain…this could become a huge factor.

Now as for my UB Bulls…here’s the scoop. Yes, Turner Gill was a QB for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 1980’s and even finished 4th in the Heisman voting in 1983. He has lead this program from the bottom of the D1 cesspool to the current 2008 MAC East Champs they are. Offensively, they are stellar with Drew Willy, James Starks and Naaman Roosevelt and they have a couple of solid safeties in the defensive backfield, but they’re prone to giving up chunks of yardage up front. It will be a good game with Ball State and I wouldn’t be surprised if they pull it out. Regardless of whether they win or not, they should get a bowl invitation, even if it’s the lowest on the totem pole - they deserve it…

I would like to dissect the Bama - Gator game for a moment. This is a game that features two of the best teams in the nation! The winner will go on to play in the BCS title game, while the loser will be relegated to the Sugar Bowl. That being said, both team are loaded with talent and this is the game of the year thus far! (Texas and Oklahomawas played too early).
Let’s start with the Bama offense vs. Florida defense. The Crimson Tide strength is in the trenches! They probably have the most talented offense line in the country, they will pound the ball relentlessly until you bring a saftety in the box to help (sometimes that isn’t even enough). The Gators defense must slow down the Bama running game with only 7 men in the box, if they are forced to bring an 8 man front, Senior QB John PW will have a field day throwing to Jones & Company. The Tide’s offense is very well rounded, they can beat you throwing or running. Their running attack can take over games!
Florida’s defense, which has improved, must force FG’s early. Is their anything faster than the Gator offense? Harvin, Demps, Rainy,Murphy, James, etc. The answer is NO. Much like the Gator defense hasn’t faced an offense like Bama, the Tide defense must play fast. QB Tim Tebow is coming off a Heisman season, and is easily in the hunt for another (especially if he can win here). UF will need Tebow to play well today, as I think they’ll struggle to run the ball. Tebow is very capable of doing that. Look for the Gators to use a short passing game in lieu of running the ball at first. UF should also be able to put up points. Mt. Cody must be a space eater for Bama and allow his LB’s to run free and make plays.

Give me Bama by 10 in this game. They’ll be able to run and pass. Gators haven’t faced anything close to this team this year.
