College Football enters the home stretch…

    By Mystery Reporter | November 17, 2008

Waxed-BeaverMy thoughts for the upcoming weeks…

#1. Can Oregon State win their last 2 games and win the Pac 10? Imagine USC not going to a BCS bowl?

#2. Alabama and Florida are on a serious collision course… and I cannot wait to see this game for the SEC title and National title game berth.

#3. Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma this weekend… I think the winner will play for the national title.

#4. Penn State vs. Michigan State… PSU wins they go to the Rose Bowl, they lose and Ohio State beats Michigan… then OSU goes to Pasadena.

#5. I think the Big 10 was a little tougher overall than it had been in recent years… More parity!

Utah-Cheerleader#6. Utah (11-0) vs. BYU (10-1)… This game is huge Utah wins and they crash the BCS party. BYU wins, and they might not.

#7. Boise State (10-0) needs two wins to complete a perfect regular season. I’d like to see these guys crash the party as well.

#8. Anyone else think the ACC and Big East should lose their automatic BCS bids this year… Horrible!!!! I’d rather see an extra team from the Big 12 South get it.

MissState-Hottie#9. My top 10 teams right now are as follows:

    1.Bama 2.Texas Tech 3.Florida 4.Oklahoma 5.Texas 6.Penn State 7.USC 8.Utah 9.Boise State 10.Mizzou

#10. I think the BCS system might just work this year. Does anyone argue that it should be the SEC vs. Big 12 Champ?

A couple of quick comments from my end…

      1. How is USC ranked higher than PSU when USC’s loss is to a team beaten by PSU… doesn’t make sense

      2. I’m going to reverse course and say that I’d like to see the National Championship game played by two undefeated teams…hopefully ‘Bama and Tech can keep it up - they both have tough challenges ahead of them.

      3. Michigan is not going to a bowl game for the first time in 33 years…could this spell one and done for Rich Rodriguez and his gimmicky offense???

Rich Rod needs time to get his players in place… I don’t think he goes anywhere yet.

In response to Allock’s question #1… How is Penn State ranked higher than Michigan State, when Penn State’s loss is to a team beaten by MSU???

      In yo face Allocks!!!

And, for the record, the SEC Championship game is going to be an absolute ass-whooping! Alabama will be no match for the Gators…

If anybody really believes that florida is not the strongest team out there…..they are foolish.

I have to say this has been a very intriguing college football season.

To Point 1. I hate that USC is ranked higher then PSU but to be honest is there anyone that DOESN’T believe USC is the better of the 2 teams

Point 2 - There is still a LOT going on before we can talk about a national championship. Bama’s got to beat Aub and Fla and FLA is scary but so it playing in Jordan Hare.. 2 tough tests before we start talkin about that. Texas Tech has the conference championship as well

Point 3, you need to run the ball in the cold to win in the big 10. If they couldn’t do it in WV why would it happen in Michigan.. MU has some down years by their standard and Rich Rod is out of there inside of 5 years (BOLD!!!!!)

To comment on a couple of Bold & Sexy’s points…

      1. USC has been beating the cupcakes of the Pac-10…let’s see if they get a real team to play come bowl season

      2. Auburn sucks - ‘Bama should have no problem making them their bitch…Florida will be a good game.

      3. To run the ball in the Big Ten, you need big O-linemen. Michigan’s line is weak like the Ukraine. Gimmicky offenses should stay in junior high school where they belong. By the way, it’s the University of Michigan, so they’re U of M, not MU

      4. To Danny Knips - you’ll see this weekend why PSU is ranked higher that MSU…and where’s my Blue Moon bitch!

There will be a table reserved at Town Tavern Dec 6th for anyone who cares to watch Wally cry as his Tide are dominated by the Gators
