A few quick notes on the BCS picture…

I think that the BCS system will work this year. We should see the winner of the SEC (Florida or Alabama) matched up against the winner of the Big 12 (Texas Tech, Oklahoma or Texas). These two conferences are the strongest this year. Penn State vs. USC in the Rose Bowl should be good. I don’t think that the Big East or the ACC should get automatic BCS bowl bids this year….. No really good teams. Boise State and Utah could both crash the BCS party this year.

I still think the Big 12 has a chance to cannabalize itself right out of the BCS Championship… there are just too many big games left which could leave all the big teams with 2 losses and let USC sneak in… could be wild!
