Some Hot Topics going into Week 11…
By Mystery Reporter | November 3, 2008
In the SEC…
Alabama vs. LSU - Their are two teams left in the Tides path to the BCS title game. LSU and the SEC title game (most likely Florida). Auburn is a joke and over rated like I stated earlier in the year… They don’t pose a threat to Saban’s group. LSU is a physical team that will test Alabama. This should be a slugfest in the Bayou…. A Bama loss won’t cripple them for the SEC title, but a loss should eliminate them from BCS contention.
In the ACC…
Not a huge fan of this conference the last few years, but they have big games this week. Maryland vs. Va. Tech. The Terps are the only ACC team with only one conference loss. Can they hold on to the driver’s seat? Clemson vs. FSU….. Clemson looking to play spoiler. Virginia vs. Wake….. The Wahoos have had quite a turn around while Wake has faultered as of late. Both teams need this one.
In the Pac 10…
USC plays Cal…. Can someone finally knock off the Trojans as Pac 10 champs. This is the one and only chance of it happening this year. USC is too strong so I doubt it, but keep an eye out.
Random Thoughts…
I would like to see the Big Ten and Pac 10 add championship games to the end of their schedule. The Big East might not have enough teams to do this yet. But seriously, I think the NCAA needs to even the playing field here. I like the title game, and think it would add more credibility to the conference winners.
