OK… Big East fan…. If you would hold your horses you are going to get 4 opinions on the topic. So SHMAAAADOOOO EASY!!!

Colorado vs WVU - Man o man.. Who is WVU. They are ALWAYS disappointing. Not very tough. Their defense is weak and it seems like every time the play a good D or a tough team the lose. Game is at Colorado. Tough D. Played a tough bowl game last season. Hawkins commands a solid offense.. I like CU to pull off and upset here - BOLD PICK. CU by a field goal in the final mins

Wake Forest and FSU - this is a weird year and I think we are looking at a changing of the guard. FSU whaloped 2 patty cakes and have their first real test. Wake beat a very underrated Ole Miss team.. I like wake in this one by 7…

Florida Vs Tennessee. Tenn is a home which is HUGE.. Playing a FLA team that thinks they have what it takes to play for the national championship. I am torn here. Fla’s defense is STINGY. And Tenn has not shown me much. I want to call for an upset but not here. FLA by 7..

UNC vs Va Tech.. UNC in this one. Butch has some players in chapel hill…. and it’s at chapel hill… UNC.

Boise State v Oregon.. I say oregon but not sure why this game is on the docket!!!

Fresno St V Toledo - same here. Fresno State

Mia Vs Tex A&M?? Really asking about this one too?? Mia because the QB for Tx A&M is injured and if he plays it won’t be at 100%

So this guy is 12-4 in the first three weeks of college football (14-4 if you count all of my PSU picks). I love this time of year, light or no jacket weather. College football is in the air. Great slate of games this week…
Game 1: West Virginia @ Colorado – While Hawkins and company are on the rise and they brought in a top recruit in rb, Darrell Scott, I expect Pat White and company to rebound in this game and get the W. However, it might be a close one being in Boulder.
Game 2: Wake Forest @ Florida State –Some people are saying that Wake Forest is the best team in the ACC, not so fast my friend. I think Florida State might be on their way back. With a two qb system that is far better than Drew Weatherford, I expect what some may consider an upset. No upset in my mind, Seminoles have more athleticism, are pulling together as a team. Noles WIN!
Game 3: Florida @ Tennessee – Good Ole’ Rocky Top! Rocky is right, it will be a rocky night for the Volunteers of Tennessee. They looked bad against UCLA. Florida is good, and the potential SEC upset will not be in this game. GATAS get the W…
Game 4: Va. Tech @ UNC – Butch Davis has brought some talent to UNC and in just a short time they are going to show it this year. Va. Tech is going to have a non-Va. Tech year. Surprise, surprise, the kids of tobacco road get the W at home.
Game 5: LSU @ Auburn - This is a tough one, I am not convinced of either team. Auburn could not score against a well improved Mississippi State defense. They will not find better luck against LSU. I like the Bayou Bengal version of Tigers in this one.
Game 6: Boise State @ Oregon - With this game in Eugene, gone is that annoying blue field. I can not even watch the games at Boise State. I like the Ducks of Oregon (Phil Knight’s baby) to get the win. Boise State no longer has Zabransky to balance that running attack featuring Ian Johnson.
Game 7: Fresno State @ Toledo – Pat Hill’s Bulldogs disappointed me last week in losing to Wisky. Make a field goal! 1 of 4 from short distance does not cut it. However, field goals will not be an issue in this contest against MAC member Toledo. Pat Hill’s boys respond with a W.
Game 8: Miami @ Texas A&M – The fact that no more guns are allowed at team meetings for the Hurricanes seems to have had an effect, that and better recruiting. The Hurricanes gave the gatas a good fight. They are young and talented and will take it to the 12th man at Texas A&M. Aggies lose at home, and go to 1-2.
Lastly you guessed it, my Nittany Lions, who have started to a nice 3-0! This week the Owls of Temple come to Happy Valley. Okay you can stop laughing. Mark it down, Temple is better than most think. They went 4-4 in the MAC last year, and yes while it is the MAC, I think it will not be long before Temple will WIN the MAC. Yes, you read that right!
Give credit where credit is due, Al Golden (former PSU player) has the Owls going in the right direction. However, this game they will be saying “How can u slap?”. The Nitts slap the owls around and get the win. This will be a nice tune up before Juice Williams comes to town for a White Out on Saturday night in the Valley.
