NBA FINALS PREVIEW BABY!!! LAKERS -VS- CELTICS

The Real McCoy has been a temporary hiatus, boys and girls, and for that he apologizes. Threesome’s make him very tired. But enough about my social life, let’s talk NBA Championship Basketball now that (yawn) the NHL Playoffs are over.
A few days ago I overhead someone say the Lakers were going to sweep the Celtics and the stripper almost fell off my lap from laughter. We had a good chuckle before I ponied up twenty more dollars and let my Wednesday morning continue. Before I make my prediction let’s break the series down:
The Lakers have the arrogant, cocky, brass Kobe Bryant. He should be thanking is lucky stars he’s playing for an NBA Championship and not serving time in a Colorado prison. But that’s another story. I love how a guy who berated his teammates, demanded a trade, and cried like a six year old girl at the beginninig of the season is all of a sudden America’s sweetheart. He’s still a jerk in my book but as we all know he can score at will and nobody can stop him.
The Celtics have the Boston Three Party with Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce. Ray Allen’s been struggling as of late but any one of those guys can take a game over at will. I’ll take three guys over one any day. Advantage: Celtics.
I don’t think this game will come down to the superstars but more the supporting cast. The Lakers have Gasol, Odom, & Fisher who are both playing some of the best basketball of their careers. They can pass, shoot, and have high Bball IQ’s. Boston has guys like Rajon Rondo, Sam “The Alien” Cassell, and Kendrick Perkins. They’re good, but each one of them has a weakness. Rondo turns it over too much, Cassell lost his quickness in his old age and lacks good defense, and Perkins takes bad shots. Advantage: Lakers.
The Lakers have NINE TIME NBA winner & Zen Master Phil Jackson leading the Purple & Gold whereas the Celtics 
have Doc Rivers calling the shots who has zero rings. It doesn’t take a Village Idiot to figure this one out. Advantage: Lakers.
The Celtics HAVE TO win the first two games at home or they’re as good as six feet under. The Championship format is the first two games in Boston, the next three in LA, & the final two in Boston. Both teams are nasty at home. I’ve been fortunate enough to see games at both arenas this year and I’d take the lunatics at Boston over the laid back hollywood LA crowd anyday. Advantage: Boston.
This is a series that’s either going to be the Lakers in five or the Celtics in seven.
My prediction: Celtics in seven.
