and… some PICKS for the playoffs………

    EASTERN CONFERENCE

#1 Montreal Canadiens vs. #8 Boston Bruins

Canadiens have won all 8 of their head to head matchups against the B’s. The young Canadiens have too much speed and fire power. Montreal in 5.

#2 Pittsburgh Penguins vs. #7 Ottawa Senators

Rematch from last year, when Ottawa won in 5 games enroute to a Cup finals appearance. No Alfredsson or Ficsher is trouble for the Sens…. Pittsburgh has too many weapons! Pittsburgh in 6.

#3 Washington Capitals vs. #6 Philadelphia Flyers

Is there a hotter team out there then Washington right now? No! They also have the best player in the game in Alex Ovechkin. Flyers can win this series, but I think they’ll come up just short. Washington in 7.

#4 NJ Devils vs. #5 NY Rangers

This will be a total goaltenders duel. Lunqvist and Brodeur can both shut down opposing offenses. Offensively the Rangers should have an edge. They won 7 of 8 during the season. NY Rangers in 6.

    WESTERN CONFERENCE

#1 Detroit Red Wings vs. #8 Nashville Predators

Dominic Hasek is a playoff goalie, which will give the Wings a nice advantage. They’ve faultered early on in the playoffs the last few seasons…..But they can’t lose here. Detroit in 6.

#2 San Jose Sharks vs. #7 Calgary Flames

I wouldn’t be surprised to see this series go either way. I think Mikka Kiprusoff can outplay Evgeni Nabakov, and Jerome Iginla will keep the Flames offense potent. Give me the Flames in 7.

#3 Minnestoa Wild vs. #6 Colorado Avalanche

Peter Forsberg could be a wild card in this one. If he plays that way he can, the Avs will make this a great series. Gaborik leads the young Wild offense. Goaltending could decide this one. Who will get hot? Wild in 7.

#4 Dallas Sars vs. #5 Anaheim Ducks

The defending champs try to tackle a very tough Dallas team that is spearheaded by Goalie Marty Turco. The Ducks will show more in the playoffs then they did in the regular season. Ducks in 6.

    ******Special Event******

Who would win in a one on one hockey game? Jenna Jameson or Mercedez? Both know how to stick handle…. Cast your vote now.
