Oh Santana!!!!!!!!

Well I hope all Mets fans are as happy as I was with the Mets debut. Santana threw 7 dominating innings, striking out 8, in leading the Mets to a 7-2 win over the Florida Marlins. He allowed only 3 hits, 2 walks and 2 earned runs over the 7 innings, but was more impressive then his numbers.
Offensively, the Mets got contributions from 7 different players. Reyes, Wright and Beltran had 2 hits each, while Castillo, Pagan , Church and Marlon Anderson kicked in 1 a piece. Wright provided the biggest blow, with a 3 run double in the 4th to give the Mets a 6-0 lead.
The bullpen was also impressive, especially Aaron Heilman, who pitch a perfect 9th inning, which included 2 strikeouts. Sosa, Wise and Schoeneweis each pitched 1/3 innings, and didn’t allow a run.
Tonight the Mets send a well rested Pedro Martinez to the mound against Floridas’ Rick Vandenhurk.
