Well after seeing how well Spears McCoy did in his NCAA tourney bracket, the Mystery Reporter will expand his horizons next year and add College Basketball to his coverage. Loved that Siena pick!!!
Back to Hockey for now! 
Big week for the die hard hockey fans coming up. Pete Allocco’s Islanders were eliminated from the playoff race with their 4-1 loss to the Flyers last night. He hasn’t surrendered his bet to GC yet, so there is still plenty at stake.
Islanders get Pittsburgh tonight and Thursday, then play the Flyers on Saturday. Pete needs points here.
The Rangers will be in action tomorrow night as the Flyers come to town. I will be in attendance for this game, as my boys inch closer to a playoff spot. Before the game, my father, uncle, cousin and I will be hitting up Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse for some big time Porterhouse steaks. If the one on 9th avenue is anything like the one in Bayside, we’re in for one hell of a meal.
Let’s wrap up today’s blog with this: The Isles are out, but stay tuned to see who wins the heavy betting that took place between Allocks and GC. The Devils trail Pittsburgh by 2 points in the Atlantic division. The winner should be the overall #2 seed come playoff time. Rangers are currently sixth and need a few more wins to clinch a playoff spot. A win Tuesday would be huge.
