MARCH MADNESS DAY 1 RECAP!

Oh, Belmont Belmont Belmont….You broke my heart like the girl I had a crush on in high school who repeatedly rejected me all those years. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a Duke hater, but I’m also a Cinderella lover so the formula for a drunken celebratory binge was only a few seconds away. Did anyone else feel like they were playing not to lose in the final minute as opposed to trying to win? Duke better turn it around fast or West Virginia will embarrass them on National TV come Saturday.
The Beasley vs Mayo matchup wasn’t as good as advertised but damn can K-State rebound or what? Mayo’s old high school teammate Bill Walker finally lived up to all the hype pouring in 22 points. We’ve probably seen the end of Mayo’s days at USC and to be honest with you, he didn’t come close to living up to the hype. K-State vs Wisconnsin will be a good ole’ fashion slugfest.
George Mason couldn’t get the glass slipper to fit this year as they went down to a very good Notre Dame team. The Big East, Big 10, & Big 12 look great as they both went undefeated today. The SEC on the other hand suffered losses with Kentucky and Georgia going down in hard fought games. Makes you think how Vandy, Arkansas, Mississippi State, & Tennessee will fair tomorrow.
