Here come the Amazins’

Any other Mets fans as excited as I am this season? 
The addition of Ace Johan Santana gives the Mets one of the stronger starting rotations in Baseball. Assuming Pedro can stay healthy, and youngsters Maine and Perez continue to improve this rotation could be something special. Would like to see Pelfrey get the 5th spot, and move the ageless wonder (El-Duque) to the bull pen, for some long relief detail.
The offense should be more consistant this year. SS Jose Reyes is all business this year, as he has vowed to cut the crazy handshakes from his repitoire and let his play do the talking. I expect a big year from him. 3B David Wright should be in the 3 hole, and provide big numbers this year. CF Carlos Beltran should have a better season then last year, and when he is hot, he is deadly. His defense cannot be overlooked. If the Mets can get strong play from Castillo, Green, Alou, Church and Delgado and their catchers, they’ll have enough offense to stay with anyone.
The bullpen could be interesting this year. Billy Wagner will once again be called on to be the Mets closer. Aaron Heilman, Pedro Feliciano are the most dependable arms. Youngster Joe Smith should be back in the mix, along with Scott Schoeneweis, Jorge Sosa and maybe El-Duque. The wild card could be Duaner Sanchez. If this guy comes back strong, it will give this unit a big lift.
